Malika Andrews asked Hammon about the Knicks being "stuck" outside of the top tier of Eastern Conference teams (the ticker said as much, too). Her answer was:

"They're not getting out of that tier. They don't have enough personnel, they don't have the manpower that they need to hang with those guys...They don't have a dude. Again, she started her answer with "they're not getting out of that tier" in reference to the Knicks being "stuck" in the second tier of the Eastern Conference.
