Trump used to oppose voting rights for felons like himself. In 2016 he said it was “so sad” that Democrats were trying to let felons vote and “cancel out the votes of both law enforcement and crime victims.”

Trump is taking advantage of New York’s progressive felon enfranchisement laws to vote today. His home state of Florida is more restrictive about felons like himself voting, but Florida defers to the state where the felon was convicted, @CNN reports.
