I made an olive wood and epoxy resin wall clock. For the resin pour I needed a very large, round silicone mold. The cheapest one of the size I needed I could find for no less than around 100 Euros. I looked on Amazon, local DIY websites, etc. Then I checked TEMU. Lo and behold, the exact resin mold that I saw on Amazon was selling there for around 13 Euro, if I remember correctly. Of course I ordered it from TEMU and it worked perfectly.

My point is that, yes, you can get these products on Amazon and other online stores operating in the EU, but the products still originate in China, and as long as they are still drastically cheaper than purchasing from within the EU people will still buy them from sites like TEMU. 100 Euros for the Amazon version or 13 Euros + the new tax for the TEMU version? Not a hard choice in my case.

@pl_european Probably because it applies to every non-EU country that isn't named China as well. The woodworking and epoxy supplies that I order from England, because the English company that makes them makes great products, just got more expensive.

I am even less than a passport German. I still have citizenship from my birth country and work for a company from that country that operates in Germany. My wife is German and through her I have had residency for 26 years. I speak the language, respect the laws and customs, and have integrated fully. I am not German and I am fine with this. I don’t want to be German. Frau Weidel is correct and I am fine with that.
