Held out hope for so long. Almost 20 years, and Onimusha is finally back! I never gave up, I knew this beloved franchise would come back one day. I'm so stoked. Thank you, CAPCOM!!!! My heart is full, and the young me is beyond happy ☺️ @CapcomUSA_@OnimushaGame
@GermanStrands I am seriously so excited to see this. I have waited 20 years for a new Onimusha game and to see such an increased interest is super promising. Can not wait for the full game!
I am loving the traction Onimusha has been getting! As a fan who waited 20 years with little to no information and a dwindling fan base, seeing over a million downloads for the demo gets me so stoked! The demo was fun to play and I hope Onimusha gets the comeback it deserves!
🎉 Onimusha: Way of the Sword Demo has reached 1 million downloads!
We’re delighted that so many of you have already had the chance to try out the game. We’ve also been reading the many comments and pieces of feedback you’ve sent us, which have been a great source of encouragement for the development team. If you haven’t played the demo yet, please give it a go ⚔️

@Gilgomush@maximilian_ I have a feeling its part of the demo to get us acclimated to the evolved mechanisms they incorporated. I felt the same way until the boss fight which proved a bit difficult in a fun way. I'm sure release will have updated AI to provided a more satisfying experience!
@NikTek You will not be disappointed! The fighting mechanics are so satisfying and are evolved in a true Onimusha fashion. I am so stoked for the full release!
Just finished the demo and I am pleased so far. The combat is so satisfying and the direction Cacom took stays true to the core of Onimusha. I also love the nods to the OG series especially with gate in the beginning which was iconic from Onimusha 1. I can not wait for Sept 25!!

Onimusha looks and sounds like its shaping up to be a phenomenal game and a great addition to the world of Onimusha. I feel like a kid again full of anticipation and can not wait for this game to drop!
📝 Weekly Oni Memo #42
This time, we’d like talk about the "main theme." The main theme for this title, which can be heard in the 4th trailer and elsewhere, depicts Musashi’s journey—from flashbacks of the days he spent with his companions to his inner conflicts, sorrow, pent-up anger, resolve, and growth.
The chorus heard throughout the track is also imbued with emotion. When writing the lyrics, I envisioned the inner cries of the Oni clan since it's sung by them. I would be delighted if you listen to the full version as it plays within the game later this year.

With the successes of the recent games for Capcom, I am so stoked for Way of the Sword! Waited 20 years for a new installment of Onimusha and I get the feeling it will be worth the wait!
As shown during Capcom Spotlight, take another look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword's early Edo-period Kyoto setting and the intense swordplay action that awaits in this overview trailer. 👹
Coming to PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam in 2026!
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Onimusha series! 🎉
To celebrate this milestone, we're unveiling brand new original artwork! ⚔
A grand gathering of the series' iconic and uniquely designed enemies essential to Onimusha!
We hope you continue to enjoy the Onimusha series,
and please look forward to the release of Onimusha: Way of the Sword!

Seeing all of these new characters with gauntlets really opens up the world and the lore of Onimusha. Its gets me excited beyond A Way of the Sword. I'm here for it!
👤 Character: Ono no Takamura
An individual that Musashi comes to meet through the guidance of the voice in his gauntlet.
A highly skilled swordsman, he can vanquish Genma with ease despite his old age. He also appears to have an Oni Gauntlet, much like Musashi and Ganryu...
This is disheartening to see. I truly hope this isn't an indication of the start to the end of PSVR in general as it is the most played and one of the highest selling PSVR games. Im hoping for the best! But this is a slight gut punch to the PSVR community 😢
I'm absolutely loving all the coverage Onimusha 2 is getting! The photos and videos that are consistently being released, showcasing the beautiful job Capcom is doing is just 🤌. Can't wait to revisit Imasho Town when it releases!
⚔️Nobunaga Oda⚔️
A powerful lord who made a pact with the demons to rule the world. He was killed during the battle at Okehazama, but was revived using the blood of demons.

@OnimushaGame I was 8 years old when I first got Onimusha with a PS2 for Christmas. My fondest memories will always be staying at my best friends house at the time and staying up all night to try and beat the game. We would even draw all of the swords we loved the game so much. Hope he's well!
@StrumSlinger@OnimushaGame I've been advocating for the series since I was 7 years old and received it alongside a PS2 for Christmas. I've loved the series and always knew Capcom would bring it back. Never lost hope and beyond overjoyed to see its return. I can't wait to embark on another Onimusha journey!
