@VaccineStatusUK The new model seems to be overly cautious now... What happens mid to end August? No injection at all? I guess the NHS, GP and volunteers will still inject even if it's not 12 weeks between 1st and 2nd doses .. Always very interesting though!

@michaelcullumuk @VaccineStatusUK I have the feeling the inventor assumes 50% of the 7 day average total injections goes to 1st dose, which in the current easter lull is too optimistic for the April target. It would be good to have all assumptions to understand the usefulness of the model predictions.

@andyr_1979 @VaccineStatusUK The creator of the model will likely answer but given the number of 1st doses has collapsed over the past week and the forecast is partially based on historical data, no surprise at all. Tomorrow the model will show the July target will be missed.

@RavellingYarns @VaccineStatusUK I wouldn't worry too much. The gvnmnt will always give 2nd jab priority. That's why 1st doses are already decelerating & will probably further fall in April. The model on this feed (1st jabs will be hit 30 day earlier than gvt target) may be too optimistic.

@Charleyy_Louise @One_Mikky @VaccineStatusUK I am pretty sure There is a bug in the model. The assumptions from the creator of this assumes that "2nd dose have priority over 1st dose" and that there is a "strict 12w between the doses" (see previous images/tweets) , which is clearly not the case

@LukeKerbey @MacauleyClare @rodbishop15 Not true. Why can't NHS find 000s of nurses? Because the general population finds that £25k for is not worth the crap they have to deal with. Hence they are not paid enough. Private hospitals don't have that issue, they pay more.

Even with a 25k salary the NHS can't fill 000s of positions, which means by the law of supply/demand , that nurses are not paid enough. Your son chose a job where there is probably lots of candidates which means he's worth 21k.

Millions sat at home doing nothing for 80% of their pay, notably paid by me, while I had to work overtime unpaid, and I am not whinging or have anything against the private sector.
