Nintendo Switch games can now run NATIVELY on iPhones, iPads and Macs! 🎮📱

A new open-source project called nxnative allows users to turn Nintendo Switch games into native Apple apps, without traditional emulation!

Because the Nintendo Switch and Apple's newer devices both use ARM-based processors, the games can run their original code directly on Apple's hardware, with the graphics translated to Apple's Metal API.

The project already lists over 60 tested games, including:

🎮 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

🎮 Super Mario Odyssey

🎮 Metroid Dread

🎮 Zelda: Breath of the Wild

🎮 Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Some games can even run at 60fps instead of their original 30fps, while YouTuber Andrew Tsai demonstrated Monster Hunter Rise running at a locked 60fps on a base M1 MacBook Air with just 8GB RAM!

There are some limitations, though. On mobile, you'll need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, or an M1 iPad or newer, running iOS 26 or iPadOS 26.

You'll also need your own game files and decryption keys, a Mac with Xcode to build the apps, and a way to sideload them. Online multiplayer and amiibo support aren't currently available.

The project isn't affiliated with Nintendo, and given Nintendo's history of legal action against emulation projects, its long-term future remains uncertain.

Would you play Nintendo Switch games on your iPhone instead of carrying a separate console?

@trilliwon Hopefully its not a huge issue as of course there were lots of units sold, but we'll have to wait and see!

Apple is REPLACING iPhone Duo devices following reports of broken displays!

Just days after the launch of Apple's first foldable iPhone, some owners have reported problems with the inner display, including lines appearing across the screen and cracks developing along the central crease.

Others have reported hearing a crunching noise when opening the device.

Apple has acknowledged an issue affecting a small number of iPhone Duo units and says affected customers can contact the company for a replacement.

The iPhone Duo launched on 23 October, starting at £1,999 in the UK, and $1,999 in the USA

It's currently unclear how widespread the issue is.

Would these reports put you off buying the iPhone Duo?

The Nintendo Switch 2 has officially been JAILBROKEN! 🎮

Security researcher Sammy Hajhamid, known online as pepsipu, has demonstrated the first public jailbreak for Nintendo's latest console, opening the door to homebrew applications, game modifications and save file backups!

The breakthrough works on Switch 2 firmware 23.0.1 and was achieved with help from OpenAI's Codex AI coding tool.

Here's what's interesting:

🎮 No hardware modifications required – the exploit works entirely through software.

🎮 Custom game mods – Hajhamid demonstrated Mario Kart World featuring characters including Goku, Peter Griffin and Walter White!

🎮 Homebrew support – the exploit allows unofficial software to run and provides access to most of the console's peripherals.

🎮 Save file backups – users can back up their game saves.

However, there are some significant limitations.

The jailbreak currently requires the SmileBASIC 4 application, which has already been removed from the Nintendo eShop in the US and Europe. It also requires a computer and must be repeated every time the console restarts.

There's currently no full custom firmware, so this is still an early breakthrough rather than a complete unlocking of the Switch 2.

Hajhamid says the jailbreak took around two weeks to develop, with Codex assisting in the reverse-engineering process.

Could this eventually lead to the same homebrew and modding scene we saw with the original Nintendo Switch?

Would you jailbreak your Switch 2 if a simpler method became available?

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 9 could feature new display glass technology designed to make the crease less noticeable.

According to recent reports, Samsung is exploring Center-Etched Thin Glass (CTG), which uses a specially processed section of glass around the folding area to help reduce the visibility of the crease when the display is unfolded.

The technology could also help distribute stress more evenly across the folding area, potentially improving durability over repeated folding.

Samsung hasn't officially confirmed the technology for the Galaxy Z Fold 9, but reducing the display crease remains a key focus for upcoming foldable smartphones.

Samsung's Exynos 2700 is reportedly OUTPERFORMING Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6!

According to a new report from South Korea, Samsung's upcoming Exynos 2700 has achieved some impressive results in internal benchmark testing.

The reported results include:

Geekbench 6.5 multi-core: Exynos 2700 scored approximately 13,000 points, compared to 11,000 for Snapdragon, a lead of around 20%.

Geekbench 7 multi-core: Exynos reportedly performed 15% better.

GPU performance: Exynos reportedly achieved up to 20% higher performance in demanding graphics tests.

The Exynos 2700 is expected to power several Galaxy S27 models, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra is currently expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset.

These results come from Samsung's internal testing and haven't been independently verified, so real-world performance and efficiency remain unknown.

Would you choose an Exynos-powered Galaxy S27 over Snapdragon if these results hold up?

Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro battery details have been REVEALED!

New images of both batteries have appeared in South Korea's Safety Korea certification database, while earlier Chinese regulatory filings reveal their expected capacities:

Galaxy S27 Ultra
- Rated capacity: 5,534mAh
- Typical capacity: 5,700mAh

Galaxy S27 Pro
- Rated capacity: 5,087mAh
- Typical capacity: 5,200mAh

For comparison, the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery, meaning the S27 Ultra could see a 14% increase in capacity.

Previous certifications have also pointed to 60W wired charging for both models, while Samsung is rumoured to be exploring silicon-carbon battery technology.

These are pre-production batteries, so the final specifications have yet to be confirmed by Samsung.

What do you think of the increased battery capacities?

The next-generation Xbox could be 40% MORE POWERFUL than the PlayStation 6!

According to hardware leaker KeplerL2, Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Project Helix could deliver around 56 teraflops of graphics performance, compared to approximately 40 teraflops for Sony's PlayStation 6.

Both consoles are reportedly using custom AMD hardware, with their chip designs said to have already been finalised.

If accurate, this would give Microsoft's next Xbox a significant advantage in theoretical GPU computing performance, although teraflops alone don't determine real-world gaming performance.

Neither Microsoft nor Sony has confirmed these specifications, and pricing remains unknown.

Would you choose the more powerful Xbox, or are PlayStation's exclusive games more important?

Motorola is preparing a NEW foldable phone to compete with Samsung and Apple!

According to a leak from Android Headlines, Motorola's upcoming wide foldable, reportedly codenamed Parker, could feature some interesting specifications:

6.92-inch foldable OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate

4.97-inch external OLED display

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset

12GB RAM and 256GB storage

5,000mAh battery with 25W wireless charging

Dual 50MP rear cameras

Android 17

The device is also expected to feature a wider, landscape-oriented design, although at 12.6mm when folded, it could be considerably thicker than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8.

A launch is reportedly planned for December 2026, but pricing remains unknown.

Would you consider a Motorola foldable over Samsung or Apple?

🔥 Heating an entire house when you're only using one room can get pretty expensive!

I've been testing out the DREO Convection Heater 711S, a 2,000W smart heater that uses natural convection instead of a fan, making it virtually silent while keeping your room warm.

With smart temperature controls and a completely fanless design, it's an interesting option for heating individual rooms without turning up the heating throughout the house.
