Taurean Prince is actually a pretty solid backup stretch four for what the Pistons need, and losing Caris LeVert is addition by subtraction. A win on the margins.
The Detroit Pistons are trading Caris LeVert and two second-round picks to the Milwaukee Bucks for Taurean Prince and Gary Harris, sources tell ESPN. Pistons will create a trade exception from the deal and savings while Bucks acquire LeVert and pick up assets.
Every four years people tell me USA has caught up to the rest of the world in soccer and every four years USA gets spanked in the World Cup. We’ve been four years away for 20 years now.
Getting to the point where I hope the Pistons find a sign and trade. This standoff is absurd. Duren needs to fire his agent because he’s getting ATROCIOUS advice.
Isaiah Joe, Kevin Huerter, Duncan Robinson, Caris LeVert, Ron Holland, Chaz Lanier, and now JaVonte Green? The math ain’t mathing. Something has to give for this roster to make sense.
Free agent forward Javonte Green has agreed to a one-year, $3.95 million deal to return to the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Green played all 82 games for the Pistons a season ago, averaging 6.9 points, 17.6 minutes and 38.1% 3-point shooting.
@nsitto2 He pulled this crap in Detroit. Everyone is an untouchable piece of the team’s future right up until your value craters and he trades you for a bag of basketballs.
Yeah man, this dude can ball and you just know Cade would bring out the best in him. At some point you need to take a swing, and Trey Murphy fits the timeline.
Need him. Make it happen.
Another 20 PPG scorer alongside JD & Cade is needed.
I’m okay with the secondary creation/shooting between, Ebuka, Daniss, Joe, Duncan and Hurter, if you add another true scoring option.
League must be really down on Jaylen Brown. Would think that moving Paul George on his own would cost Philly a first round pick. Now they attach another and some swaps to acquire an All NBA level player? Big time win for the Sixers.
I’d argue that both the Sixers and Raptors have jumped Detroit at this point in the offseason. Really think the Pistons need to bite the bullet and go get Trey Murphy. Winning around the margins isn’t going to win you a title.
Just in: Free agent forward Tobias Harris has agreed to a two-year, $31 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN. Harris exits the Pistons after helping lead a franchise turnaround and now joins a young contending team in the Western Conference.
Hope this is a S&T for Collins. Good player, but I don’t want to take the route where you lose Duncan Robinson for nothing. He is important to your success and it’s okay to have more than one great shooter!
And for the record, letting Tobias Harris get to free agency is a failure by this front office. Culture means a ton, and losing the man behind it all is very risky. That doesn’t even take into account his production that we have no line of sight on replacing.
As a Piston fan, I should be accustomed to striking out in free agency. Still, watching the rest of the league get better while we do nothing sucks, especially after the way last year ended.
Yeah, there’s still time, but we’ve seen this movie before. It’s gonna end in some marginal changes with any real improvement depending on internal development like every other Detroit team. Hopefully we can at least get Duren back so Cade has someone to set picks.
Dean Wade ultimately decided to sign a four-year, $39M deal with the 76ers after fielding offers from over six different teams, sources told @ClutchPoints.
The two finalists were the Sixers and Pistons, sources said.
