Therapist @TTuck10 shares, โOne of the things I tell my clients is: I want you to suffer.
And theyโll look at me like, โWhat?โ Iโm like, yeahโI want you to suffer. I want you to struggle. I am not here to give you relief. Iโm here to help you get stronger so that, when you suffer, you can look back and realize, โHey, look what I did.โ And for the believers, โLook what God helped me get through.โ
I look at King David, and when you read the Psalms, heโs saying things like, โGod, thank you for the afflictions of my youth.โ And heโs looking back at God: โYou trained my hands and my fingers for war.โ When he was a boy in the fields protecting the flock, he was fighting off animals and going through all kinds of things. He had no idea what was going to come later in life. And he realized all that training in the field helped him win battles.
And then, when he won those battles, he came back bloodied, beaten up, sweating. It was awfulโand he wonโbut he always said, โGod gave me the victory.โ
And it was also his physical exertion and the training that led up to those moments. So I want people to go through enough to realize, โYeah, Iโve got the strength. Iโve got what it takes. And therefore, Iโm going to use it for something bigger than me.โโ
Your drug might not be looks.
But we all reach for something we think will fulfill us.
Apart from a God-given purpose, weโll stay on a hedonic treadmill.
Thatโs why I wrote Tough Enough.
All proceeds are donated to help young men and to help fight human trafficking.
Here, Trey Tucker explains why he wrote "Tough Enough" -- our culture dismisses young men, and they need to be guided and affirmed.
No wonder he's a mega-viral video creator on social media!

Therapist @TTuck10 came on Relatable to talk about anxiety. I asked him, "If you could define anxiety, how would you define it?"
Tucker: "Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. The verse, 'Be still and know that I am God' used to make me so angry.
I'm like, God, what do you mean be still? Like, I got a real problem here. I'm in a storm. Why do you want me to just be still?
And what I realized is that the word, and I believe it's "Rapha" in the Hebrew, it doesnโt mean just โdonโt move.โ It means โrelease your grip.โ
The idea that I thought that I had control, that was a lie anyway. If I can start to realize like, yes, the circumstances might happen that are negative or I might be in the middle of a battle right now, but if I can loosen my grip and stop white knuckling it, then I can realize that like ohโGod is God, not me, and Heโs going to take care of me no matter what happens.
That really is the solution to anxiety. Itโs not changing your circumstances or slapping meds on it.โ
In Tough Enough, social media megastar Trey Tucker explains how to grow into the person you truly want to be.
