“There is no other band in the world who can do what the Dead do to a crowd. They are all near-virtuosos on their instruments and they don’t stop at being good. Or even at being better.” - Marshall Fine, the Minneapolis Star, 10/20/71 Yesterday in 1971, the Dead played a milestone show at the University of Minnesota’s Northrup Auditorium, featuring Keith Godchaux’s first public appearance on keys with the band. That night, they would also debut a few tracks including, ‘Tennessee Jed,’ ‘Jack Straw,’ ‘Mexicali Blues,’ ‘Comes A Time,’ ‘One More Saturday Night,’ and ‘Ramble On Rose.’
