Torquay United are close to signing forward Isaac Westendorf from fellow Step 2 side Oxford City.

The former Newcastle United youngster chipped in with 8 G/A in 26 games for Oxford in the National League North this season.

Other Step 2 sides were showing keen interest in the German.
