5. Refusing a marriage proposal.

6. Ending a relationship.

7. Demanding your unpaid salary.

8. Refusing to associate with a relative or friend.

9. Adopting a new religion.

10. A disagreement over ownership of land without violence.

11. Requesting a refund for goods or services.

12. Refusing to accept or give bribe.

13. Refusing to enter into a business deal.

14. Disputes arising from a failed business transaction that do not involve fraud.

15. Asking a tenant to pay outstanding rent.

16. Asking a landlord to return your caution fee or security deposit.

17. Refusing to act as a guarantor for someone.

18. Demanding the return of your personal property.

19. Impregnating a lady who is not a minor.

20. Refusing to give someone money or offer financial assistance.

The primary duty of the police is to maintain law and order in the society and this does not include effecting an arrest over a purely civil matter. If your disputes fall within the above either settle amicably or institute an action in court.

However, where elements of fraud, stealing, threat are present, the police may lawfully intervene.
