📺 Society (2007-2010)
Society offered a rare televisual archive of Black urban womanhood. Grief, sexuality, ambition & class anxiety collided in a narrative that mapped the contradictions of life through the emotional labour of four friends.
It remains a vital archive of Black womanhood on screen. It dared to show us messy and vulnerable women on their own terms.
