I don't think it's fair to blame Amen and Ausar Thompson for their teams spacing issues. Both provide elite defensive value. Ausar has shown flashes as a secondary creator, while Amen consistently creates open looks for teammates. That feels more like a roster construction issue.

They also already have a bunch a ok to decent guard. As good as Acuff is offensively, Wilson also as talented defensively.
