🐕 Dog walkers! Ice, snow, and flooding make riverside paths and towpaths slippery and unpredictable.
Keep your furry friend on a short lead and if they do go in, don’t jump in after them.
Stay safe and enjoy your walk!

If you're heading out on a #BoxingDay walk, follow our top tips to stay safe around water:
🟢 Take care on towpaths, they can become slippery
🟢 Be careful on coastal paths where there's increased risk of large waves and spray
🟢 #FloatToLive if you find yourself in the water
🚶 ❄️Plan ahead for winter walks along riversides. With ice, snow, and occasional flooding, conditions can change quickly.
Wear appropriate footwear and check for warnings before heading out.

If you’re heading out to bring in the new year, stay safe and take care near water.
Icy paths and moorings need extra care and attention at this time of year, especially after a drink, so take it slow and get home safely.

This holiday season, make sure you stay safe when around mistletoe. Although the tradition of kissing under a sprig is fun, this plant has a much darker side 🌱
