It wasn’t our day today.
As is tradition, the captain lost the toss and made to bat on a wet pitch. Only Brock (52) made batting look reasonable. 112-7 off 20 overs was never enough.
Nevertheless a good bowling performance but SW&G won by 5 wickets.

A low scoring thriller for the friendly team vs @AbingdonValeCC
As is tradition, TVP lost the toss and we inserted for an 18 over game (due to light).
TVP friendly XI only made 97, however some tight bowling kept TVP in the fight, losing in the last over by 3 wickets
A friendly fixture later this evening against a side from @AbingdonValeCC
18:00 start; 20/20 format
A mixture of players from the PSUK side plus some new faces too
Interesting to see a distinct lack of players from the south in the British Police Cricket Squad…. That and players from forces who don’t have their own team 👀
Just not our day today. Playing with 10 was always going to be near impossible. Lost the toss on a dust-bowl; bowling first chasing leather; nothing went our way in the field and then tired bodies trying to chase far too many runs.
The Met 358-6
TVP 100 all out
Late tweet… both the skipper and media man on their holidays.
Well played Devon & Cornwall who were the better side on the day.
D&C 331-8
TVP 174 all out
We progress 2nd in the group and now face an away trip to The Met on 16th July for the Quarter Finals
3 years, 3 wins… TVP retain the JOU Cup!
TVP 215 all out - Milne 49*, Herrington 45, Telford 22
Hampshire 153 all out - Milne 4-35; Telford 2-27; La Porte-Jones 2-32
A nice clip of Milne’s 3rd wicket
TVP Royals would have been back at fortress Sulhamstead @SulhamsteadCC tomorrow, however sadly South Wales & Gwent Police CC have conceded the fixture.
TVP remain unbeaten at home!
