All of that said, it's a thoroughly enjoyable drama.

You call it pedantry @jed_mercurio, yet #LOD PSD interviews police officers for murders and also civilian suspects of crime 🤔

[Jed Mercurio @jed_mercurio]

#Bodyguard pedantry - It’s only in matters of police professional standards that officers are interviewed by someone at least one rank senior. If an officer has been arrested for a criminal offence, they’re treated like anyone else.

[Crime Drama @TVPoliceAdvisor]

Congratulations to @jed_mercurio for #Bodyguard success. Sorry to point out the obvious but there were lots of continuity issues that people are probably unwilling to talk about because of the hype. Totally avoidable with a little more attention to detail.

@Thursley Air or nautical miles @Thursley?😉

Once had a conversation with a Head of Production where we discussed an idea. “Too controversial” was the reply. In an age where terrorism, murder, rape, torture and other gruesome topics are regularly depicted I was genuinely lost for words.

[Crime Drama @TVPoliceAdvisor]

@lizmead867 @jed_mercurio @guardian I’m not entirely convinced the viewers would be bored with the real life goings on in some police PSDs Liz. It offers a credible spin off for @jed_mercurio. I do however agree with your broader argument.

[Jed Mercurio @jed_mercurio]

The sniper attack on Home Secretary in #Bodyguard was filmed near the Old Bailey. For public safety we weren't permitted to put anyone on the roof with a rifle. This image on David Budd's phone was created with visual effects. Pascoe House is fictional - the sign is also vfx.

[Crime Drama @TVPoliceAdvisor]

Can I tempt @jed_mercurio with a coffee and pastry of his choice to listen to my idea next time he’s in Manchester?

[Crime Drama @TVPoliceAdvisor]

Very keen to collaborate with @jed_mercurio with a unique spin off idea but...wonder if he'll hear me out. Hope so as I'm a big fan.

@amycoombscorrie A truly genuine person & richly deserved.

Tact & diplomacy missing from Cmsr's vocabulary. He may not have said it out loud but we all know what he meant! https://t.co/uqayBZqjU3

Time to rethink police procedurals, times have changed, criminality has evolved & the writing should reflect this 💻

[Crime Drama @TVPoliceAdvisor]

With a smidgen of exceptions, police corruption remains a taboo television subject, imo ️
