Want to know why we are speaking up for needs-based funding to tackle FDV in the NT? This piece explains it all. Join us for the Day of Action of Sept 26 https://t.co/TRKoxKMe21
Too many women die from violence in the NT. Join us on Sept 26 as we call for action to support needs-based funding for domestic violence services. #howmanymore#needsbasedfundingnow
Family violence costs the NT more than $600 million every year.
To find out the NT Government funding is only going to be an extra $20million over the next 2 years feels like a betrayal.
Our lives, the lives of Territory women and children, are worth more than this. #notoviolence
This has been a tough week for all of us.
We remember our friend, honour her memory, and continue to work to make the change so we can stop losing our loved ones to family violence.
Stay strong.

The loss of these women, especially our sister R, continues to be felt in our hearts and our communities.
We hope these inquiries will shed some light on why women continue to be killed.
"All domestic violence-related homicides are preventable homicides."

We've always said these women are not just numbers.
They are our sisters, daughters, mothers, aunties. They are loved and missed and they matter.
We continue to be failed by the systems that are meant to protect us.
Listen to us and make the change. https://t.co/zIyKfK1Cr1
And of course, it was also the 6th anniversary of the #UluruStatement.
Enjoy the week everyone. Reflect on what has been achieved, but even more, think about what we can do to change the future. #YES
It's been a very busy, and very important few days.
This past week marked #NationalSorryDay , where we paused to remember those who were, and still are, removed from their families and communities.
These policies continue to cause harm and impact us. We continue our work today to remember the strength of our Elders and honour those who were taken.
This weekend also marks the start of #ReconciliationWeek , starting yesterday with the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum.
Our kids belong with family.
This is at the heart of Tangentyere's Children Safe, Family Together family and kin care model.
Ever thought of becoming a kinship carer? Just give us a shout out.
Good data leads to good programs and policy.
Flawed data leads to bad programs and policy.
It's that simple.
Yet we are struggling to get this right.
As FDV @MicaelaCronin says, alcohol bans are not going to stop the violence.

Strong 💪🏿 Powerful. Leaders 🖤💛❤️
Proud of their Town Camp heritage and history.
Working together on solutions for their families, children and communities.
Great to see you again and chat @Malarndirri19 @LindaBurneyMP and Marion Scrymgour.
We have been saying this for years. To make a long-term difference, to make a real impact on violence, we must have needs-based funding. @LindaBurneyMP @JElliotMP@AmandaRishworth @Malarndirri19 https://t.co/Ca5W0JcIL8
The NT has far higher rates of domestic and family violence than any other jurisdiction.
Needs-based funding would make a huge difference to tackling these issues.

It's been a huge couple of days for us and Mparntwe/Alice Springs. We're very happy with support from @AlboMP and @LindaBurneyMP. The extra $ will make a safer community. But long term plans and funding needed to make the big changes. Thanks to all hearing our voices.
We're excited! Girls Can Boys Can story will be featured on ABC TV 7.30 Report tonight 📺
Tune in to hear about our journey with our unique primary prevention program, and how it's being implemented in early childhood and primary schools.
Change starts with our young ones.
Please take the time to read the report, hear the voices of women who have lived and worked at the front lines and support those driving real change.

Congratulations to @June_Oscar on the Wiyi Yani U Thangani (Women’s Voices) First Nations Women’s Safety Policy Forum Outcomes Report.
Our @ShirleenCampb16 was at the forum, as always, speaking up for Aboriginal women and children, driving transformative change to end violence.
