THE WAYMORES- "FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL"

The Waymores ( @TWaymores) Atlanta-based married honky tonk Americana duo Kira Annalise and Willie Heath Neal have released the companion video for their single "Flashbacks of a Fool"!

"Flashbacks of a Fool” marries country and Motown and was written by the pair in 2014 and originally recorded on Annalise’s self-titled debut EP.

“Unfortunately, everything in the song comes from true life. It’s a sad song because we were living through sad moments. We had a very tumultuous first few years,” says Annalise. Neal continues, “Luckily, though, we stuck by each other and this great song came out from the struggles. We’ve been together for 15 years now so I don’t think either of us is really the fool here.”

The Waymores shared 5️⃣ facts about their video!

1. The video was shot just north of Nashville at an Air BnB. The property had several little bungalows and the one next to us had a 2 Great Pyrenees dogs. We lost our Great Pyrenees in January 0f 2023 so we took it as a sign that we were in the right spot!

2. This was the first video where we got to just be the talent. In our previous videos we had to be very hands on and didn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. This one we had hair, wardrobe, makeup and a whole team. It made us feel very cool.

3. We stayed at the property the night before filming and when we woke up the morning of the shoot, we noticed that the bed we DID NOT sleep in had indentations of a body on the top of the blankets! A ghost? A weird host? We’ll never know.

4. The very first outift that Willie tried on was the outfit that he’s wearing on the wooden bridge scenes! I went through several before landing on one that matched Willie’s. Men just must be lucky in that way!

5. After the shoot wrapped, we drove 12 hours through the night because we had an on air TV interview the next morning and a show that night. What a life!

The couple recently released their stunning third studio long player album, "Greener Pastures" via Austin label Chicken Ranch Records.
