Great piece on a great kid. Some organization is going to get a special one in @michaelkenrick1 . Something we all at @hernbaseball have known for a long time.
Good luck tonight in the @NJCAABaseball Div 2 championship.

I'm at the D2 JUCO World Series in Enid, OK. I watched #30 for Pasco throw a gem, and then I watched something and I'm probably the only one who noticed.

#30 was given the placard to place, and he deserved it. He muffed the placement of it... see video. Then, his entire team dissipated and went back to the dugout to continue their much deserved celebration.

#27 for Pasco hung around the poster, waited for his entire team to clear as to not interrupt their flow and asked the two gentleman that were walking away with the poster if he could fix the placement of the placard.

He bent over and perfectly placed the placard in the designed rectangle, using two hands to make sure it was just right.

I immediately knew who #27 was, and had never locked eyes on him or a Pasco roster before this moment. The coach for Pasco came up into the stands, and I was at the top of the stairs and I said, "#27 is Savarese isn't it?"

"Yea." He said. Then I congratulated my friend for earning a spot in the National Title Game.

Savarese is 14-0 with a 1.22 ERA and 136Ks in 103 IP. He's starting the national championship game tomorrow. Regardless if they win or not, if I was in a professional baseball organization, I would want Michael Savarese in my organization and I would pay handsomely to make it happen.
