Got a ton of nostalgic vibes & emotions when they put Jimmy Jam on the jumbotron the other night & put this classic on the background. A lot of Wolves & Minneapolis/MN memories w/seeing him and hearing that song. Loved it. Keep keep on, never say die

My father was a man of strength, love and encouragement. He opened countless doors for me and my brother. He believed in us and pushed us to pursue every opportunity with conviction, he was the rock of our family. He taught us that perseverance, hard work, and unwavering commitment are the foundations of a meaningful life and personal success. I will carry his love, words, and wisdom with me always.
Larry Fitzgerald Sr. was one of the most influential and respected people in the Minneapolis sports/journalism community. A voice many of us have heard over decades, a great role model and a great representative of Minneapolis. Rest in peace
The Fitzgerald Family's official statement:
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. A devoted father, husband, grandfather, and a true pioneer in the Minnesota broadcasting community, he spent his life pouring into the people and the city he loved so much.
He left us peacefully this afternoon, surrounded by his family and the people who loved him most.
We are so grateful for the incredible care and kindness shown by the team at the University of Minnesota Fairview Southdale Hospital during this time.
We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate these first difficult days.
With love,
The Fitzgerald Family

"Man you better get us to the playoffs, because I traded my favorite player for you, and I don't know you!" -- This Jeff Teague story about the Timberwolves owner being upset because they traded Ricky Rubio for him is gold
I can’t believe what I’m seeing: Dillon Brooks is collabing with Underdog on a SGA-themed Operation game.
“If you touch him, it’s a foul.” Unbelievable. 😭
My mom: "Will I know any players in the games tonight?"
Me: "Probably not, just Harden & Wemby"
A few hours later....
My mom: "Why didn't you tell me there was a LEVERT in this game? I love LeVert! Just Coolin' was my favorite song!"

Karl-Anthony Towns has been locked in on watching his former team, the Wolves, during the playoffs:
"I'm texting Ant, I'm texting Rudy, I'm texting those guys"
Anthony Edwards was very critical of himself after Game 1 of Timberwolves-Spurs:
“Ah man, I made so many mistakes at the end of the game. I'm disappointed in myself… For me, 75% of the game for me is my mind. My mind's got to be where it needs to be and in the last 2 minutes of the game, it wasn't. I gave up 2 offensive rebounds, turned the ball over. Yeah. I'll be better."
“We've just got to stay locked in on the game-plan, especially myself man. I can't give up 2 offensive rebounds to Champagnie. I may not be as athletic as I usually am, but I've got to be able to box out, make the small plays to win the big time games.”
“Like I said, [Jaden] is my favorite player in the NBA…
I love to watch him play. His maturity has grown so much over the last year, the way he sees the game, how he takes his time to get to his spots…
He’s just my favorite player. I love Jaden McDaniels”
