Thank you @DonnaHowardTX, @TXHouseWHC, supportive legislators, and advocates throughout the state!
It took several sessions but, we finally got it done!
It's time to #EndPeriodPoverty for people with periods across the US. That's why @periodsupplies is proud to support @RepGraceMeng’s #MenstrualEquityForAllAct - an important bill that improves access to menstrual products in schools, government buildings, the workplace, & more.
Did you know that #PeriodPoverty disproportionately impacts Black & Latina people? In 2021, a quarter of Black & Latina people with periods strongly agreed that they'd struggled to afford period products in the past year. Get involved to make a change at https://t.co/KcsiYl0Q2X.
Recently, @RepGraceMeng reintroduced the Menstrual Equity for All Act, which would help to expand access to free menstrual products for people with periods across the US. Learn more about how this legislation would help to #EndPeriodPoverty below!

@pioneergrrrl@DonnaHowardTX@joanhuffman@Austindiapers No one is arguing that toothbrushes or toothbrushes shouldn’t be tax free. If you really believe that these products shouldn’t be taxed, you can bring this up w/ your legislator.
@pioneergrrrl@DonnaHowardTX@joanhuffman@Austindiapers Just some additional info to consider: I wouldn’t say it is not “dramatic” to menstruate on a monthly basis, some folks have severe menstrual disorders that cause them to bleed heavily.
In just a few hours, the sales tax on menstrual products will end in TX. This major accomplishment was done by many passionate advocates and coalition partners throughout the state. Looking forward to tomorrow.🩸🫶

Many incarcerated people with periods can't access the essential products they need. Now, some states are recognizing the ways in which providing free period products in prisons can help to support the health & rights of incarcerated people:
