Yeah I know this is going to cause controversy.

I just saw someone describe the USMC as "America's 911 force."

No disrespect to the Marine Corps which is an incredible fighting organization, but there is only ONE force in the United States' military arsenal that can immediately deploy an Infantry brigade combat team to ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD on an 18 hour sequence after the President makes the call (with the essential help of our friends in USAF Air Mobility Command, of course).

JUST IN: The 75th Ranger Regiment is rumored to be moving forward with the activation of a new 4th Ranger Battalion.

Initial personnel are expected to start reporting to the unit in September, and the battalion is projected to reach provisional status by next summer.

@maddieegrace1 You’ll love jumping up in Alaska! Best Airborne assignment in the Army. They have come a long way since the days of TF 1-501 and standing up the 4/25. Ah memories.
