⠀The Dinobot replied with a soft nod and a low grunt of acknowledgement.
⠀❝ So, you’were one of them thinkin-bots, before the war. Least you’ve known something else. Not every bot was’so lucky. ❞ Grimlock acknowledged, his gaze hardening — but not at her.
⠀
—sob forevermore internalized. As his hooting calmed, the Dinobot spoke.
⠀❝ How long you been a fighter, sparkles? ❞ Grimlock queried genuinely, leaning in towards her.
⠀
⠀
⠀If Grimlock’s facial anatomy had allowed for a big, stupid grin in that moment — he would’ve been beaming. He rolled his head back and laughed a hearty laugh, servos clutching at his mid-section. In his bellowing there was a profound sadness, like each whoop echoed a—
—after the reconfiguration.
⠀❝ Wouldn’t be the first time I been in trouble like that. ❞ The Dinobot sneered back, posturing. The confrontation was futile, but his anger demanded he rattle the cage.
⠀
⠀
⠀Grimlock’s indignance was palpable, hovering in the air like a thick miasma. He cast his gaze up and down the Decepticon, noting his body language — knowing Shockwave had his cannon at the ready. It was one of the few remaining weapons that could truly hurt him—
and your band of odd transforming mechs. I suggest you direct your anger elsewhere.”
Arms going behind his back, cannon priming itself to fire at any given moment.
⠀
⠀ Grimlock’s expression scrunched pensively, awkwardly scratching his temple with a servo at her observation — though he watched with mild intrigue as her wings fluttered gently.
⠀ ❝ Easier to think, when things’re quiet. ❞ He concluded, meeting her optics.
⠀
⠀
⠀The way his faceplate contorted ambiguously indicated a frown. Waspinator had a big spark — they were always the hardest ones to turn away. Grimlock turned his head again, just enough so that the Predacon was in his peripheral.
⠀❝ Why so interested’n’a bot like me ? ❞
⠀
Waspinator believes that Grimlock must be one with hard life...wondering how he became who he is now.
"Izz Grimlock wouldn't mind to have time talking with Wazpinator ?"
He approached carefully to him.
⠀
⠀Something awful churned in Grimlock’s gut as he watched the way Waspinator jumped, and he decided to take a seat where he’d been standing, casting his glare off into the distance.
⠀❝ Hard to remember sometime, think’so. ❞ He said, the harshness of his tone softening.
⠀
He jumpscared seeing grimlock that anger but it was in relief he didn't hurt waspinator...maybe he should be careful with words
"That'zz...good to know.....Izz your life going well ?"
— It was a fact that did not take the edge off his rage.
⠀❝ Looking for 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 version of you. ❞ He jeered, the joints of his servos popping as his fists clenched ever tighter, lumbering a step closer to the Decepticon scientist.
⠀
⠀
⠀Grimlock sneered fiercely at Shockwave, half tempted to call his bluff - but the Dinobot’s gut instinct warned he was telling the truth; At least about not being THE Shockwave who’d disassembled and reassembled he and his comrades like a bunch of cheap brain ticklers. —
“Me, but not the me you are looking for I presume. Whatever it is /he/ did does not give you the right to take it out on me.”
Taking a few steps back, doubting the dinobot could understand what he’s saying.
— Grimlock had only become aware of the alternates recently, parallel versions of bots from universes sometimes so different than his own that their connection seemed only tangential. —
⠀
⠀Grimlock let out a hefty sigh as Waspinator broke the silence again. He pinched the bridge of his nose with his servos.
⠀❝ You know— ❞ The Dinobot hesitated for a second, stopping short of exploding on the Predacon. ❝ They’re fine... ❞
