This morning we hosted a skills workshop to celebrate #WorldYouthSkillsDay at the Kago Hub in partnership with @DigitalSkillsAF. The youth discovered their strengths and weaknesses through the innovative #knackapp and big data skills through digital session.

In collaboration with @ITVarsity 8 youth have received a study bursary valued at R25 000 for the Apptrepreneur online course. @ITVarsity aims to transform the technology industry in SA by providing youth with an accredited qualification (NQF level 5) and practical skills.

One of the most recent additions to the flagship Kago Hub in Tembisa is the sanitary pad production project, where 12 selected entrepreneurs will produce 500 000, 100% biodegradable sanitary pads in year 1 through Blossom’s partnership with YES

Today we reached 18 000 quality job experiences created! It would not be possible without the 281 corporates that took the leap by joining YES. So far 8 (going on 12)of our companies have accomplished a level up on their B-BBEE scorecard. We call this a win-win-win!

Phase 3 was launched today at the #KagoYESHub,The main focus being #Buddibox engaging with the community and highliging all the benefits they will have access to, with the distribution services at their door step. 22 of 150 #Tembisa youth have been placed.

12 Ladies employed by Blossom in partnership with YES will spend 12 months being trained on entrepreneurship. They will end their 12 months as owners of the business.The hub initiative is a drive for sustainability through producing more than 500 000 sanitation pads in year 1.
