When we started So Fresh, the idea was a modern fruit and vegetable market, a Nigerian version of Whole Foods. Within one month, we got a different signal from the customers. They weren’t really coming for the whole fruits and vegetables, they wanted juices, smoothies, salads, and ready to eat meals.

So, we pivoted.

What started as a fresh produce retail concept slowly evolved into a healthy food restaurant business, and over time that became the foundation of what So Fresh is today. Your strategy may start the business, but smart entrepreneurs allow customers shape it.

Which means you can't afford to get too attached your original ideas. Even more importantly, you can't even get too attached to what's working, you have to be able to sense when customer preference shifts or when the market is getting disrupted.

Your job is to always listen early and adapt quickly. Sometimes the real opportunity is hiding just beside the idea you started with, and the market is always speaking.

Bandits attacked Suwa and Ding’ak villages in the Mushere chiefdom of Plateau State, and k!ll£d four persons, including our colleague Pastor Daniel.

The attack occurred between 1pm and 2pm on Friday, August 8, 2025.
