I’m going to be honest, the last 4 times I’ve filled up my gas tank, I thought about many things. None of those things were sharing a bathroom with a trans person, a mom buying soda with her SNAP or whether the guy in front of me in line was documented.
@RyanQualtrics Love to join for a full “Salt Lake City” experience as I am running the marathon this weekend too! Signed up for the marathon to see the city and would love to see the Mammoth too (never seen them before)!
BREAKING: In just the 16 months since Trump was reelected, the collective fortune of America's billionaires has grown by $1.96 trillion.
More than half of that growth comes from just the top 15 billionaires, who alone grew their collective wealth by over $1 trillion.
Throwback to when Messi took off his captain armband and gave it to Inter Miami's old captain to do the honor of lifting the club's first-ever trophy

How you treat people who aren’t on the same level as you tells a lot about a man’s character. Bron is always making people around him feel special. You rarely see that from someone of his status.
just to be clear, prediction markets made gambling on war a spectator sport in relatively short order. who knows how much of that was 'insider' trading

I don’t follow hockey, but this had me tearing up. They brought their teammate’s (who was killed by a drunk driver) kids out onto the ice with their dad’s jersey to celebrate the moment. 🥹
Iceland is the world’s biggest consumer of SSRIs. They’ve had less than 10 gun homicides since 2020; in the US, there have been over 90,000.
Japan is one of the largest video game markets in the world. They have 10 gun deaths per year; the US has nearly 50,000.

If he somehow carries Argentina to another World Cup trophy he’ll be immortal. He’s already the greatest, but if…. If he does that. He’s on par with Zeus, Apollo and the rest of the Greek Gods.
It's official: The US now has more unemployed people than job openings for the first time since April 2021.
In July, the US had:
7.18 million job openings
7.24 million unemployed people
This is yet another crack in the labor market that illustrates how much harder it is to get a new job right now than what we've seen in a long time.
[Note: The July data could be revised, but the trend is pretty straightforward to see]
The difference is the we > me mentality that the US will never have. Why people will never pay more in taxes in the US even if it means they could have nicer things 🤷♂️
I don’t think the average American realizes how much we’ve been mogged by China over the last decade in the global eye, our inability to keep up with basic civil infrastructure is visible all over the internet
