@sekcter Adventure League (or any ttrpg club) is always a good start to play and meet people, maybe you make some good friends that you can create a new group with!
@Warlockdnd @SeveredSonsDnD My friend got the starter set for pathfinder as a Christmas gift from his uncle when we were 12-13 ish. He read the rules and ran the starter set dungeon for me and our friends. Twas epic
@DaBushChicken@RRollplaying Because then everyone is on a more even playing field, but then again 7 days no exceptions is a long time in DnD. And it feels really gritty when you have to live on half HP for 5 days because you've run out of hit dice. The safe location bit makes it so we have mor of a choice.
@DaBushChicken@RRollplaying Thank you for the detailed response! I think we might look into changeing to your system. Right now we are doing the basic gritty rules for HP regaining; 8 hours for hit dice and 7 days for full HP. And doing normal for abilities and spells: 1 hour short rest and 8 hour long rest
@DaBushChicken@RRollplaying My group thought about doing this, but were afraid it would favor short rest characters to much. Essentially making them way stronger compared to the wizard who now has a lot less spells for long travels in the wild. Do you find this to be the case? What's your party composition?
@StevenGarstone @SeveredSonsDnD This is literally Bilbo Baggins at the end of the book, "Ok filthy rich now, but how does one bring such wealth across the entire continent?"
