The Tampa Mustangs Clendenin 2030/2031 are champions of the PGF Emerald!!!

Defense set the tone from the first pitch, clean in the field and clutch when it counted. The bats stayed hot, putting together quality at bats against every pitcher they saw. The pitching staff matched that intensity, attacking the zone and finishing hitters off when the moment called for it.

Weekend numbers: a 52-9 run differential, a .488 team average, and 32 strikeouts from the circle. This group isn't slowing down. The next tournament is already on their minds. @PGFnetwork @flpgfmedia @LineDsoftball @ExtraInningSB

Mustang Elite Qualifer - Top 8 Finish

After securing the #1 seed, we didn’t have the overall results we wanted but a great start to the season! Quarter final finish in a very talented pool of 26 teams. We ended the weekend at 4-1 and saw a lot good things from the girls!!

JADA DiMARIA
#21 | 2030 | RHP / Utility

Jada is new to the roster, but it does not feel like she is new to the team. We first got to know her as a guest, which is one of the quickest ways to learn about a player. New coaches, new teammates, new expectations, and no time to get comfortable. She simply competed. She showed us she could pitch, defend multiple spots, and give us quality at-bats without needing everything around her to feel familiar.

What has stood out since then is the work ethic and how naturally she has fit into the group. Jada has plenty of natural ability, but she does not depend on it. She wants to learn, asks good questions, and is willing to work at the parts of her game that need improvement. She may be a new addition on paper, but the way she works and competes makes it feel like she has been here much longer.

MAREN LAVINA
#9 | 2030 | OF / 3B

Maren is one of those players whose value becomes clearer the longer you coach her. She makes consistent contact, understands the strike zone, runs the bases well, and can impact the game defensively in two very different areas of the field. She has the instincts to handle the hot corner and the athleticism and range to play in the outfield.

This will be Maren's 10th season with the Mustangs. She is currently working through an injury, but that is not what defines her. Ten seasons tell you much more. She has shown up, competed, learned, adjusted, and stayed committed to the standard for a long time. She is tough, dependable, and understands that being a good teammate is part of being a good player.

LILLY CLENDENIN
#10 | 2030 | C / Utility

Lilly has done just about every job we have asked her to do. There is a difference between being able to stand at several positions and being trusted to play them when the game matters. Lilly has earned that kind of trust. Behind the plate, she takes pride in blocking, keeping difficult pitches in front, and controlling the things that prevent free bases.

This will be Lilly's 10th season with the Mustangs. That history shows in how she approaches her role. She does not need the lineup card to tell her how important she is. She takes whatever job the team needs, prepares for it, and goes to work. That willingness to put the group first is something we value a great deal.
