Let me get this straight…
OpenAI was founded as a nonprofit. Open source. For everyone. “To benefit humanity.”
Then he raised billions of dollars.
Then he closed the source code.
Then he converted to for-profit.
Then he scraped the entire internet without asking anyone.
Then he used YOUR writing YOUR art YOUR code to train his models.
Now he’s on stage saying you’ll pay HIM to access intelligence. Just like a water meter.
He stole all of your data. He built the product with your work. And now he’s going to bill you to use it…
Corporate greed has reached an all time high, and they’re not even hiding it anymore…
This is what happens when we confuse "compassion" with abandonment.
A woman who has spent years feeding people in MacArthur Park just had her jaw shattered and six teeth knocked out with a metal pipe while serving lunch. John Alle in Santa Monica (Santa Monica Coalition) was also beaten to the point of requiring surgery. Unhoused man Job Taylor almost killed someone and still kept getting “mental health diversion” instead of secure treatment, supervision, and real consequences. This is not bad luck; it’s the direct result of policy choices that leave severely addicted and mentally ill people roaming the streets unsupervised.
We are told this is compassion. It isn’t. It’s a decision to sacrifice good volunteers, workers, and neighbors so politicians and judges can feel righteous and activists can cling to their ideology. Real compassion is treatment‑focused housing, mandatory care for people who are clearly a danger to themselves and others, and firm boundaries in public spaces so parks are safe for everyone.
Every once in a while, primarily here on Twitter, I encounter a comment or tweet that makes me realize some millennials are stuck in a perpetual 2016. Like the final Japanese soldier that kept fighting the war decades after ww2 ended, they exist in this alternate reality where you must denounce any sign of what they perceive as “wrongthink” and people can be simply sorted in a “good” or “bad” category. Baby brained, but sadly this relatively small group is extremely loud and their chokehold on the culture will take years to undo. Oddly, as much as they talk about fascism, their tendencies are the most fascistic.
Amazon MGM Studios which is valued at almost $10 billion is releasing a movie about He-Man this year which will easily make millions of dollars. Meanwhile, the literal creator of the character, who without him that movie wouldn’t even exist, has to rely on a GoFundMe for his medical care. Fucking insane.
NBA seriously needs a new Commissioner. it’s long overdue. Adam Silver is one of the most softest, out of touch, braindead, idiotic mfs we’ve ever seen on top of being the epitome of a money hungry ghoul. he just throws the wildest ish at the wall hoping it sticks & it NEVER does. PLEASE get him out he has ruined this league
Ring paid somewhere between $8 and $10 million for a 30-second Super Bowl spot to tell 120 million viewers that their cameras now scan neighborhoods using AI.
The math is wild. Ring has roughly 20 million devices in American homes. Search Party is enabled by default. The opt-out rate on default settings in consumer tech is historically around 5%. So approximately 19 million cameras are now running AI pattern matching on anything that moves past your front door. Today the target is dogs. The same infrastructure already handles “Familiar Faces,” which builds biometric profiles of every person your camera sees, whether they know about it or not.
Ring settled with the FTC for $5.8 million after employees had unrestricted access to customers’ bedroom and bathroom footage for years. They’re now partnered with Flock Safety, which routes footage to local law enforcement. ICE has accessed Flock data through local police departments acting as intermediaries. Senator Markey’s investigation found Ring’s privacy protections only apply to device owners. If you’re a neighbor, a delivery driver, a passerby, you have no rights and no recourse.
This tells you everything about Amazon’s actual product. The customer paid for the camera. The customer pays the electricity. The customer pays the $3.99/month subscription. And Amazon gets a surveillance grid that would cost tens of billions to build from scratch, with an AI layer activated by default, and a law enforcement pipeline already connected.
They wrapped all of that in a lost puppy commercial because that’s the only version of this story anyone would willingly opt into.
It's wild that, over the past few years, there have been multiple examples of HUMAN BEINGS being wrongfully killed, and then it's shared all over social media.
And depending on the political leanings of the HUMAN BEING who was killed, other HUMAN BEINGS either cheer for and justify it, or mourn and protest it.
Nothing to do with principles.
Nothing to do with right and wrong.
Just pure tribalism. Dictating whether a killing was justified based solely on someone's politics.
That should disturb you, but it likely doesn't because it's been normalized.
It doesn’t make you a lib to be disgusted to see a man get murdered for practicing his first and second amendment rights. Blindly defending ICE because Trump and his administration tells you to makes you the opposite of a patriot and is as anti-American as it gets.
@BernardoFariaJJ If BJJ gyms offered different rates for people who simply can't train very often, this would be great. I have only ever came across flat fees regardless of how often you have the ability to train
This demon broke into a house and stabbed a child to death ten years ago, and as of today he is walking free. This cannot be allowed to continue. Arrest the judge who let him free. Arrest the judge who allowed him to be found “not guilty” of murder by reason of “insanity.” People will say that Trump doesn’t have the authority. It doesn’t matter. Do it anyway. It’s worth having a “constitutional crisis” over this. We simply cannot have these judges releasing murderous animals onto the public. People are dying. It has to stop. Do what needs to be done to stop it.
When an 11-year-old screams obscenities at cops for doing their job, it’s not “cute” or “empowerment.” It’s the collapse of discipline. This is what happens when victimhood is taught louder than values.
Call it what you want but when parents pass chaos to their kids instead of character. We don’t need another excuse, we need a cultural reset.
The craziest thing isn’t that Charlie Kirk died, or that there’s (very gruesome) footage of him being shot circulating throughout social media.
Instead, the craziest thing to me is that so many “normal” liberals such as teachers, nurses, friends, family members are taking a great deal of joy in Charlie’s death.
I think I dramatically underestimated how ghoulish and evil these people truly are.
I will explain to you why the killing of Charlie Kirk pushes me to the right.
He had the exact same views as my Trump supporting parents who I love. He had the exact same views as half my extended family. Just regular Boomer conservatism.
And thousands of leftists celebrate him being shot in the neck and bleeding out in front of his three year old daughter.
If they want that for Charlie Kirk, they want that for my parents and my other loved ones.
And I won’t stand for it. Because I’m not a suicidal spiteful mutant with hatred for my own family, my own parents, my own civilisation.
I love the people who raised me and I’m loyal to them and I won’t ally myself with people who want to murder them just because they have old fashioned values that were completely common throughout 99% of modern history - a love of faith, family, church, nation.
