The $SPCX IPO opened at $150 +11% vs the IPO price of $135 and is now $164 (+21% vs IPO price) and reminds me of the $META IPO in May 2012. META’s IPO priced at $38, and it opened at $42 (+11% above the IPO price), and rose to $45 (+18% vs IPO price) soon after opening. Over the course of the first day, META fell to the IPO price of $38 before closing at $38.23 (+0.6% above the IPO price) as underwriters led by MS provided price support to prevent it from falling below the IPO price.

The largest IPO in history is about to vacuum up Wall Street's liquidity

SpaceX is targeting a June 11 pricing and June 12 Nasdaq debut under ticker SPCX, raising ~$75B at a $1.75T valuation. That blows past Aramco's 2019 record. Morgan Stanley, BofA, Citi, JPMorgan, and Goldman are lead bookrunners.

The crypto angle: @SpaceX holds 8,285 $BTC on the balance sheet, bringing direct bitcoin exposure to public markets. MSCI has already warned a deal this size drains capital from speculative assets, crypto included.
