Idk but Michelle Obama telling Barack “You told me all those years ago that you couldn't promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. And, of course you outdid yourself and managed to give me both." is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard someone say to another 🥹
Nem todo homem é estuprador. Alguns estupram, alguns riem do estupro, alguns gravam o estupro do parceiro, alguns contam piada de estupro, alguns riem das piadas, alguns acobertam os parceiros, alguns incriminam as vítimas.
I work 12-hour nursing shifts and usually meal prep my lunches for the week. Lately, I noticed that every time I made my favorite spicy chicken pasta, a small portion like 3 or 4 bites would be missing from the container in the morning. I jokingly texted him at work: "Stop stealing my food, you have your own meals!" He just replied with a laughing emoji.
Last night, I got home late and caught him in the act. He wasn't eating it. He was cutting up the chicken into smaller, bite-sized pieces and mixing the sauce thoroughly so it wouldn't dry out when I microwaved it at the hospital.
He said, "I know you only get a 10-minute break to inhale your food, so I wanted to make sure you didn't waste time cutting it up."
It’s the smallest things. Find someone who cares about your 10-minute lunch break as much as he does. 🥹 layout the swords, I will defend this man forever.
“It’s time to wake the fuck up”
Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Half of my fellow graduate students when I was getting my PhD were foreign nationals. Do you realize one third of all the Nobel Prizes in sciences won by Americans were won by immigrants to America? If you’re gonna trail the world in practically everything, including your economy, it’s time to wake the fuck up”
Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players:
“You know I'm seeing a little bit of-
‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race + ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them.
Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’
I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks.
Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤”

Women are out here sharing live locations, checking the backseats of cars, and holding their hands over their drinks. Men are doing 3 hour podcasts about how unfair it is that we don't smile at them. The disconnect is fatal.
A reminder that these are the people who don’t want their grandkids learning about this in school because they wouldn’t have a logical answer for why they did it.
It’s crazy how we’re never too young to experience racism, yet when people like these kids get older the excuse for their behavior is that they were young.

@Candace_Parker & @ReneeMontgomery weigh in on the touching postgame moment between Brittney Griner and Vinyl coach Teresa Weatherspoon.
I honestly hate that we've normalized the idea that all opinions are valid. I think we should get back to telling ppl that they are ill informed & ignorant.
