Ghanaian woman, Lucinda Naomi Otchere, a midwife and in charge of the maternity and labour ward at Trust Mother and Child Hospital in Osu, has been arrested over her alleged role in a notorious child trafficking syndicate.

The suspect is accused of paying GH¢20,000 to a woman identified as Janet Larbie for the trafficking of a seven-year-old girl, and an additional GH¢35,000 for the transfer of another five-year-old girl to a couple at Pokuase.
