MTN ADVERT MISLEADING
MTN South Africa has been reprimanded by the Advertising Regulatory Board for misleading customers in its 'Shesh@600' data promotion.
The ad claimed to offer 600GB for R399, but failed to highlight that half the data depended on reliable 5G coverage - often unavailable in many areas. A customer complaint triggered the ruling, which found that MTN’s advertising created false expectations.
