A-Class 👌🏼 with Aethir - Edge computing for AR/VR Games

Metaverse gaming experiences that leverage augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) headsets are projected to grow rapidly. However, such gamified experiences require an extremely high data streaming bandwidth 📡
Gaming edge computing is an excellent example of how decentralized gaming technologies can support and power futuristic game forms.

🎮 Edge computing has a significant competitive advantage over traditional clouds when it comes to AR/VR game streaming. That’s because edge networks can process the necessary data through Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) closest to the end-user.

👉 For example, imagine a player in New York City, another in Tokyo, and a third in London all participating in the same AR/VR game session. With edge computing, each player's actions are processed in real-time by GPUs located closest to them, minimizing latency and ensuring a smooth gaming experience.

🤖 Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an essential component of Web 3.0 metaverse experiences that require significant real-time data processing. In AR/VR gaming, the ability to instantly respond to user decisions heavily depends on advanced AI algorithms. The processing power of edge computing is a game-changer for real-time gaming solutions that require immense GPU power.

April 2024 was exceptional for Aethir and the community. It was marked by our successful historical checker node sale and a significant presence at the @token2049 Dubai event 🏝️
↓

We took a leap into the future, unveiling the @AethirEdge, a revolutionary edge computing device powered by the advanced Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 chip, designed to redefine how we interact with technology.
↓

On 20th April, we launched the Testnet versions of the checker owner portal and the checker client GUI/CLI to enable checker node license NFT holders to familiarize themselves with the node operating mechanics.
↓

Our excitement continued as we introduced our Aethir Cloud Drop, aiming to decentralize ownership of our upcoming ATH token by distributing a portion of the token supply among the Aethir community and other dedicated Web 3.0 communities.
↓

We wrapped the month on a high note by launching our ecosystem, @AethirEco, fueled by Aethir's partners 🌐

[Aethir @AethirCloud]

Aethir is a distributed GPU cloud infrastructure provider, and it is important to understand what it means to be a DCI and why it is essential for the modern world 🌍

Blockchain networks and Web3 technologies have led to the rise of decentralized infrastructure. Unlike traditional cloud networks, decentralized networks use a distributed array of computing resources and network nodes instead of relying on centralized servers, which offers several benefits.

Here is why DCI is so important 🧵👇🏻

[Aethir @AethirCloud]

Our Aethir checker node sale has been a huge success 🔥
🔹 20000+ checker node owners for our decentralized infrastructure
🔹 Over 73,000 node licenses sold, valued at 41,000+ ETH

This achievement marks a significant step towards decentralization by distributing nodes throughout the community.
To ensure the fair distribution of all node license NFTs and take a snapshot of current node license holders, we will pause the node sale on May 8, 2024.

We express our heartfelt thanks to our partners and Aethirians, our community, for their constant support in our pursuit of decentralized ownership and a trustless ecosystem 🙏

Moving forward:
1️⃣ Aethir node sale closes on May 8, with a week left for community to purchase node licenses.
2️⃣ Visit https://t.co/B2AkMkvuzI to purchase node licenses.
3️⃣ We will snapshot current license owners for the upcoming $ATH token generation event.
4️⃣ Through governance, the community can decide if and when to resume the sale or perhaps burn all unsold checker node licenses.

Last chance to buy your node license and become an early contributor to our decentralized Checker Node network ☁️🌐

[Avail @AvailProject]

Unified ecosystem, unified experiences. Powered by Avail.

[Avail @AvailProject]

With the Avail DA mainnet approaching, it's about time we gave you a refresher on its core features. They make us different from other DA layers.

A deep-dive into
1. Validity proofs
2. Erasure coding
3. Light clients
4. Data availability sampling
5. Expandable blockspace

(1/6)

[Avail @AvailProject]

Avail gives you interoperability with all other blockchains, no matter where you choose to build. OP Stack, Ethereum, Polygon CDK, you name it.

With the foundation of a common DA layer built for security and scale (Avail DA), interoperability between chains is drastically simplified.

Why?
They share a common trust zone. DA provides transaction ordering, and then execution proofs verify state transitions.

How?
Combining both transaction ordering and execution proofs is the key.

Nexus doesn’t enforce integration requirements on developers - you can build wherever and Nexus just works.

[Avail @AvailProject]

Hear us out, if you’re building an L2 on Bitcoin, you should use Avail. Here’s why:

BTC L2s can move 99% faster when leveraging Avail DA as an intermediate fast DA layer before posting to Bitcoin for DA.

Avail DA has 20 sec blocks and takes around 2 blocks to reach finality providing DA guarantees to L2s in ~40 seconds.

Bitcoin has 10min blocks and reaches finality every 6 blocks providing finality in ~1 hour.

Your BTC L2 can post transactions to Avail DA every 20 seconds and receive interim finality in 40 seconds. Transactions can then be posted to BTC for DA every 10 min and finalize in ~1 hour.
