A person who can’t make their own healthcare decisions isn’t free.
They don’t have a say in what happens with their own body, this is a human rights matter.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ignored CBS News’ @mkaplantv’s question on Wednesday about soldiers wounded during Operation Epic Fury who came forward claiming the U.S. military downplayed the severity of their injuries.
Several survivors and their families told CBS News they weren't being treated by the military as combat casualties for reasons they could not understand — a claim an Army spokesman strongly denied.
"The care and well-being of our Soldiers is of the highest priority," an Army spokesperson wrote in a statement to CBS News. "Any assertion that the Army seeks to downplay a soldier's injuries is simply not true."

Obama: There was a deal in place in which Iran had agreed not to develop nuclear weapons. This administration pulled out of it, which caused then Iran to develop more nuclear capacity ... it feels like we're back where we were before we started the war, except maybe a little bit worse off.
🚨 TRUMP SPARKS DIPLOMATIC CRISIS WITH ITALY: Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has canceled his planned June 21–22 trip to Washington after President Trump insulted Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, claiming she “begged” for a photo with him at the G7 and that he “felt sorry for her.”
Meloni released a video firing back at Trump’s comments, calling them “completely fabricated.”
“I am frankly appalled,” she said. “I don’t know why the President of the United States behaves this way towards his allies.”
She added that Trump appears to show more accommodation toward “the enemies of the West” than America’s allies and concluded by saying: “Italy and I never beg.”
