@davesims_ The winning argument. Look up the stats of the Mount Rushmore of catchers. Guys like Johnny Bench. Compare their career offensive years to Cal’s. What Cal has done as a catcher is unprecedented.
@wsdot_traffic@Mariners@SoundersFC Complete failure on your part. 3 major sporting events in Seattle. Do this at night. You've impacted 100s of thousands of people. Nearly 3.5 hrs to get home from the Husky Game. People need to be fired over this.
@MarinerMuse My theory? Enough of the "Control the Zone" methodology to hitting. The players look lost. Let them be who they are and roll with it. Experiment over...
@g06mark@PGATOURAmericas I am definitely going to get me some Burrito Express on my trip down to the valley later this week. GO @g06mark and tear it up down in Mexico. Never seen you playing better than you are right now...
@wsucougar08 He's drinking too much Nerd Juice. He's committed to a mathematical model too deeply of incremental WAR, etc. This is how you make decisions to sign guys like Kolton Wong and AJ Pollack. This is a painful way to build a winning team - to strive to just win enough.
@Mariners The competition in our division spent the money to get better and you did not. The result is not surprising. Cal is right - either go out and try to win or not. Heartbreaking to have a bond with the guys on the team and root for them 162 times a year and see the lack of support.
So was thinking about golf. In order to succeed at playing conservative, you need to practice playing conservative. BrysonD shoots 58 and says that he practiced the front tees when young with the goal of breaking 60. Similar but opposite thinking - great idea.
