Currently running a MekHQ campaign starting from the early half of the 3rd succession wars in 2935. Originating from Marcus on the FWL/LC border, the 115th Marcus Armored Militia started as a light tank company meant for garrison duty, riot suppression, and warding off pirates.
Backpacking off of my MekHQ campaign:Tanks often play second fiddle to battlemechs for a multitude of reasons.
That's said they are very entertaining to use and taking out mechs with tanks can be a highlight. Do you have a favorite battletech tank?
Bushwacker seemed like it reached too far, trying to upgrade 'Mechs but unable to fit together. Then terrifying invaders unwittingly gave the keys to finish this mobile striker.
In the face of failure you might find the solution. Don't give up.

Von Griedle is one of the original prototype models created by the Artificer's Guild and classified as a Courser. Though an older design, it is widely regarded as a masterpiece, known for its reliable and consistently high performance.
Because it is a machine favored by experienced pilots, its appearance tends to be relatively plain and unassuming. Flashy ornamentation is rare, and practicality is generally valued over display.
On the other hand, if you encounter a Von Griedle on the battlefield, it is usually safe to assume that its pilot possesses considerable skill. This reputation stems from the fact that the machine cannot be operated effectively without a high degree of proficiency.
Some newer Ryude are designed to achieve impressive performance even in the hands of less experienced Ryude Pilots. The Von Griedle, however, relies on no such special mechanisms. Instead, it reflects the abilities of its pilot with remarkable honesty, making it, in many ways, a quintessential Ryude—a machine whose true potential is determined entirely by the skill of the person within it.

Demolisher Tank.
Its big. Its nasty. It likes urban environments. And is fond of kneecapping unlucky battlemechs. Worse, they tend not to work alone. Running into 2-4 of them is common. Leading cause to the death part of "recce by death."

In return, he offered to transfer two mechwarriors to the company and offered a Hermes II that had become surplus. Though the mech could not be given for free, it was offered at a reasonable cost to the unit. MSgt. Stratter stated she'd be a fool to turn down such an bargain.

Late march, as the 115th was preparing to ship off world, Averescu met with the command staff with an offer. Though a green unit they had managed several noticeable victories. As Averescu was preparing for frontline duty, he requested if he could call for the 115th's assistance.
