When Arsenal wanted to strengthen their midfield, they signed Guimarães while Chelsea signed Henderson and Barco.

When Arsenal wanted more defenders, they signed Europa League winner Ezri Konsa, while Chelsea went for catastrophic flop Maxence Lacroix.

Arsenal preferred quality, but Chelsea went for cheap and average players. Chelsea could have signed Konsa if they were serious about experience, but look at what is happening.
