Getting started on the exceptionally well written Fade In by Kyle Mills, but I think like the protagonist, this guy fell into a coma... "Coffee later? What do you think?"

Today marks 20 years to the day since the publication of FADE. I'd been writing for a decade at this point and was known for creating plots that had enormous stakes for both the characters and society. It was a terrifying departure to write an anti-hero whose struggles and charisma were the primary drivers of the story. I’m so glad I took the leap.

This headshot was taken for the British market and appeared on the UK jacket (the orange/black one). It’s my favorite of the FADE covers. I still refer to the red, white, and blue version as the Riverdance cover. 😆

Tonight I’ll raise a glass of top-shelf tequila to the man who’s been with me longer than most of the real people I know.

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not necessary to read this book before diving into FADE IN. I’ve woven the relevant backstory into the new book. The first is like an origin story that will give you a deeper feel for the character if you’re looking for more.
