We discovered business rules that had never been documented.
They simply became part of the reporting process over the years.
That’s why discovery is often the most valuable phase of a data project.
Replacing manual Excel reporting is not just a technical project.
The real challenge is understanding why the spreadsheets work the way they do and uncovering the business rules they have accumulated over the years.
Once that is clear, building the solution becomes simpler.
Nearly six years ago my family cancelled:

We unplugged from what SOCIETY told us was important & focused ONLY on what we knew was important.
