@BanterBernie So you moan that the deficit took too long to come down, but that austerity is too harsh? Consistent logic. It took so long to come down as it spiralled out of control in the first place
@BanterBernie The deficit was £145bn at its peak when Labour left office. That’s £145bn per year. The Torres have got it down to £45bn in 10 years... £140bn + £130bn + £120bn.... equals £1.2 trillion. If you wanted lower debt, way more austerity was needed. Thanks labour!
