@Halloweenmovies The film was a product of its time, but in a lot of ways it was super ahead of its time. If the film were today (when live streaming is actually realistic) & it were a bunch of influencers going the Myers house to exploit it & died the film would slap. Also fix the mask.
@kelly_knox I've heard him say boys but I have heard him more often just say 12 year olds. People who want to pretend it isn't for both boys & girls are fucking stupid & are taking a few quotes out of context.
I mean they are meant to be fairy tales, fairy tales are not gender specific.
@MamuniaMaura@LP_CLC@JSBPHD@ShadowofEzra When the police department of Philadelphia dropped bombs on their citizens. 1985 MOVE Bombing
They murdered 11 people (including 5 children) and left 250 homeless.
@PHNX_Dbacks Would love to watch but despite my $100 subscription it's saying I'm blacked out. A call to India did nothing to resolve it.
Fucking clown league.
@MLB fuck you, you miserable cunts. You are more than willing to take my money for subscriptions but are too fucking incompetent to have your shit in order for the biggest day of the year.
Go fuck yourself and cram whatever bullshit excuse your PR team came up with.
One of my foundational movies to my movie fandom is Jurassic Park but I didn't even bother with the last movie & see no excitement for the next one. It's been diminishing returns w/ every sequel.
Unless one gets like Fury Road level of critical response I'm not showing up.
Oh look a particularly heavily armed enemy is approaching, I should get out my sticky shocker to deal wi... Whistles and gets turned into Sonny from Godfather.
DAMN YOU UBI SOFT!
It is so frustrating when a video game sequel makes minor changes to the controls.
A particularly diabolical one is a change between Splinter Cell 1 to 2. The button that opens your equipment in 1 is fucking WHISTLE in 2.
Instead of a price they put the "percent off" which is always horseshit. I saw one the other day that was the Eli Roth Thanksgiving blu-ray and the % off was as if the regular price was $38.99.
As if ANY Blu-Ray has been that price in a fucking decade. GTFO.
I've noticed the last few Amazon "sales" on physical media movies they won't show you the price until you click into it.
Guess what @amazon you are just saving me money because I am not going to spend all that extra time clicking on shit one at a time to see the "sale" price.
@proudelephant Only if it's retroactive applying to anyone not Native American in decent.
Changing the rules because immigrants are the wrong color is some cunty shit.
I wish I could have seen it but it was out of my theater by early November. Life was busy for a few weeks and when I tried to go see it no showtimes. Less than a month and not quick enough. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
One more reason theaters are dying (this one not their fault obviously).
SMILE 2 is peak studio horror this year. A relentlessly terrifying movie, putting its hero through hell & expertly immersing you in her nightmare. Instantly puts you on edge, announces that no moment is safe, and doesn't let you relax for 2 hours. Can't get over how great it is.
@Nobbie_OCs I'd go one further and say like OG Battlefront 1 where there was no playable heroes. The whole premise of the game was you played as grunts. Feels like you throw that out the window when heroes became playable in 2.
A pure grunt game was glorious.
I hope that Lucasfilm uses Rey in multiple films and with he heroics and power that the SW Bros wanted from Luke.
Not just because I love the character but to drink the tears of these so-called fans.
Others have done great things with the role but Reeve was so fucking great in the role they are all just fighting for the very very very distant second place spot.
That is why Superman never sees the debates about who is the best like Batman actors, b/c it was settled in 1978
