14 days later...
This time we're releasing our desktop app.
Product, engineering and design roles are now merging. We believe people will still have their domain of focus, but that designers will continue to ship more code, and engineers will be expected to ship quality designs by default. We can no longer wait on design to ship to production.
Tidy desktop is our answer to that problem. We've created an environment where engineers can experiment with design first. Gather feedback and collaborate, while shipping fast. It's also an environment where designers can work and ship hand in hand.
We'd love to have you try it out and share your feedback (or even better, get on board and start shipping some PRs as a contributor ๐๐ค)
Truth be told not the best launch day at all.
But we have to take the wins we can get and we just hit 50 stars ๐คฏ
Small milestone but definitely helps us move the needle. We're a long way off of where we want to be.
This is a bit backwards because we haven't actually launched yet.
But finally got remote machines working on Tidy.
Working on my remote desktop has been a game changer for my development work. Trying to drive a bunch of parallel agents from an 8GB Macbook Air isn't the best experience as you can imagine.
If you want a space to design and ship code give us a look. We're early, but we're open source and quickly iterating.

We're building the ADE where engineers iterate on design, and where designers ship code to production.
We're open source and live on ProductHunt today!
We've been building Tidy for the last 3 weeks as an "open source Paper alternative".
That got us:
- our first 60 users
- our first 47 stars.
We launched early, we were embarrassed of what we had at that stage. We iterated and overall it was worth it.
Since then we've moved onto Tidy Desktop. Our version of an ADE for engineers and designers to build and iterate faster.
It's pretty unique and cool (in our opinion), and the first time a more traditional design canvas is being added to an ADE (as far as we know)
Like last time, it's early, unpolished, but improving everyday. Keep an eye on product hunt tomorrow. Or visit our website to try it out today.
And we're live... major overhaul of the Tidy website that reflects our goals moving forward.
We want to create an open source ADE that empowers designers to ship real code, and where engineers can iterate on design before they ship.
We haven't officially launched but you can now download our Tidy desktop app (Link in first reply).
Think a mix between t3 code and paper, in the one app.
We're early (3 weeks in), things are not polished, but we are iterating rapidly.
Shoutout @TadhgDev for all the late nights.

Why do I keep getting hit with "Usage limit reached", despite having over 80% of my limit left.
And Codex isn't even showing as down on their status page. @thsottiaux
