@Brien_Jackson Every other point completely wipes that first one out. Produce and perishables are all sold in quantities with the intent of a family unit. I have children now, and struggled in my younger years to buy anything like that despite it being affordable.
@GroovySciFi It's the same repackaged horseshit that boomers were hitting us with 10- 20 years ago. They just don't realize how angry the audience that they're outright lying to is.
I have two kids and a wife. For anyone who has neither, buying groceries is more wasteful and just as expensive as eating out. At least with eating out, you aren't constantly mired with the guilt of wasting food you couldn't finish. I still feel that guilt now in my position.
This combined with the person who replied to the list of suggested sandwich ingredients angrily pointing out that Aldi doesn't sell "individual slices of cheese. We're reaching truly unforseen levels of Everyone Is Twelve Now.
@OrangeFreddyG I worked at one in 2002/03 and was told straight faced it was a family restaurant the whole time. The claim was backed up by witnessing more than a dozen sad dad regulars with immediate and extended family in tow to eat. The food used to be amazing. They should try that again.
