After receiving numerous amazing entries for our #LibPlza25 poster contest, we are excited to announce our winner: Leah P. from @NISDTaft! We can't wait to see this design all around Northside next year. We already have some GREAT authors confirmed to put on it. 🎉
My last 2 meetings w/the ALE Ss were so much fun. We read Earth Yay!, painted garden rocks, checked out books, created pinwheels for summer fun days, & checked out books! The last group was particularly special b/c they’re all seniors and it’s the last time I’ll ever have them 💗
Thank you manga creator @JeyOdin for meeting with our Comics Club and sharing your expertise, tips, and advice with us! The students loved your energy and passion and everything you had to say.

Our Everything Comics Club is in full swing! Today we learned about the origins & reasoning behind Batman Day, which was on Sat, Sep 16, & about the history of Batman, & one of our new members shared his knowledge on the many ways to frame Batman in a comic. Good meeting!

Ms. Woods pushed her art students’ imagination to create designs that will be used as reference photos for future projects using some of the library’s STEM supplies. They did a great job (and they checked out art books too)!
