@DSMStrength We use half of the time away from the mat with constant acceleration. Constant acceleration and fall height calculation:
h=v0*t+0.5g*t^2
v0 is zero so h=0.5g*t^2.
Then convert meters to inches. Perhaps I misunderstood the question 🙂
@DSMStrength A contact mat can (usually) be tested with a multimeter that measure resistance. You can determine if the mat or device is broken. The mat will have infinite resistance with no pressure and none with pressure (if ok). Not sure if it is possible to detach the cables…
