Visa is for vibe coders.
Anyone can spin up an app and any API can become a merchant.
Starting today we’re onboarding x402 and MPP merchant endpoints into Visa CLI so APIs, LLMs, data products, and dev tools can be discovered and purchased by verified agents with cards on file.
If you’re building an x402 or MPP endpoint, or want Visa to help you stand one up, sign up below.
We’re also opening Visa CLI to initial users in the US. DM me for an invite.
1/ To Alkanes - this is a new chapter.
There is no easy way for me to share this - Oyl Corp will be winding down active operations.
We gave everything to build the first programmable metaprotocol on Bitcoin. Alkanes is live, immutable, and running on L1 forever. It will long outlive our company, in fact, we believe it will create greater value than it ever has in the coming future.
2/ To everyone who clocked in, traded on the AMM, minted Airheads, experimented with Alkanes contracts, or just believed in what we were doing — thank you. This community showed up in ways I never expected.
3/ The AMM contracts are open-source and immutable. They run on Bitcoin. No company needed. They'll keep working as long as Bitcoin does.
The Oyl wallet and frontend will transition to community stewardship led by @SUBFROSTio — and alternative frontends are already live.
4/ Our team isn't disappearing. We're continuing as open-source contributors focused on DIESEL — the asset at the heart of Alkanes, living on-chain forever.
5/ @SUBFROSTio is stepping up to lead Alkanes development and infrastructure upgrades. Their CTO @judoflexchop has been here since day one. Alkanes is in good hands.
In the near future, along with the SUBFROST team, we will announce the official tokenomics of DIESEL, including investor allocations (incl. Whale Passes). As for the Oyl team's DIESEL allocation, we cannot touch it until the asset itself is a success. This will be made clear in the tokenomics.
Long live Alkanes 🛢️
