Look how big they are!
My year 2 cohort were lucky enough to witness these chicks hatch. The kids absolutely loved watching them grow and learnt about their life cycle.
We’ve got chickens!!!
As part of our stage 1 outcome ‘living things’ as a grade we decided it would be an amazing opportunity for students to experience the life cycle of chickens. Super excited too see how they grow!
Early this week we had a STEM day. This allowed the students to use their critical thinking to create innovating inventions to suit the driving questions. My group had to attempt to make a maze with only 2 straws and a paper plate. Students absolutely loved it!

I use this for my students that have difficulty followed verbalised instructions. This gives them 3 basic instructions at a time and I have seen them absolutely flourish in the classroom and gain confidence in the set task.
I would definity recommend using

Today in year 2 we learnt how to use ICT to search for the definitions of words we were unsure about in my shared reading book. Students were engaged in their learning and able to create a more in-depth relationship with the meaning of the book. Such a good activity!

At my school I put my hand up to be the Easter Bunny. I am so happy I did it. I got to engage with the kids in a different way and strengthen my relationship with my school community (families did attend too). Never had so much fun with the kids as we danced and sang.

My students loved this activity! They were given in pairs the book we’ve been studying. They were asked to find these specific persuasive techniques and wrote them on sticky notes.
My students love hands on activities so this was perfect to get them engaged and investigating.
During my EDFD243 course, I think it would be extremely beneficial to learn how to be organised in a classroom. An example of this can be how to organise and record data. #acuedu_p
#acuedu_p During my journey through EDFD243, I’ve learnt mainly that I am not alone. We are all beginning and new teachers and we all have struggles inside the classroom. I would say this is what has been the most significant aspect of this course to me.
