Another photo from #BlizzCon2018. I have no idea how to pose for photos. I can smile, but that's where it ends! I have lots of photos of me making derp faces and my arms in the same position. I think I had 3 total that turned out ok. #tarecgosa#worldofwarcraftcosplay
Here's me at #BlizzCon2018 . I eventually added a cape because I started feeling self conscious and I had to switch shoes because omg...cosplayers were serious when they said wear comfortable shoes! #tarecgosa#worldofwarcraftcosplay#WorldofWarcraft
Here's me wearing the cosplay all together for the first time on Halloween. I felt pretty good about it considering I had zero art background!

Here are the horns after painting. The ribbon details are not canon. By the time I had found a more close up image of the icons on the ribbon, I had already completely lined the ribbon with the gold trim and started painting on it. I didn't want to start over! #tarecgosa#cosplay
Not the greatest photo ever, but this is me trying to tame the tangled mess that my wig became after messing with the horns and screws so much. Left side is the before and right side is the after. I used Mane n Tail detangler. It worked so well!
This is how the chest piece initially looked before priming and painting it. Not the greatest, but hey, it was my first time. I decided I would cover up the botch job I did where the breast cups met with a gem. Again, it was a Tarecgosa so anything was game :)
After getting help from the Kamui cosplay facebook group, I was finally able to work something out. I used a headband and mounted two screws into it, fed that through my wig and then screwed the screw into the horns using drywall anchors. #tarecgosa#worldofwarcraftcosplay
I could not figure out how to keep the horns mounted. I had seen videos about using magnets to hold up horns, but because of the weight and shape of my horns, earth magnets were just not cutting it, even when I added 3 large ones to each side.
This is eventually how they looked after I had to remake them. I didn't let them cure for 24 hours and so they deflated after I whittled them down. That was sad. Here they are covered in papier mache. It took forever to cover them! I do not recommend making horns this way!
So next up was trying to make horns. These things became the bane of my existence! I made them from insulation foam which apparently was not the best, lightest route. Note to self for next time!
At this point, I had decided that I wanted to try a Tarecgosa humanoid form cosplay from World of Warcraft. Part of the reason I chose her was that everyone's Tarecgosa cosplay looks different. I wouldn't have to match something from the game and could just do what I could.
Then I started practicing making some gloves with an old sheet. Again, I'm a total sewing noob, so I was super excited when I was actually able to put my wonky glove on and it actually kind of looked like a glove. It's the little things!
