Congratulations to the prize-winners at the the HK Inter-school City Nature Challenge. Some great discussions with @TaiTamTukOrg today about the results and what we can do to help HK win the global event in April. @citnatchallenge @inaturalist
The dust has started to settle on the #HKISCNC. Over 2000 students from 31 schools took over 48,000 observations on @inaturalist! Amazing! We hope this will increase general #nature engagement from our students. The more they know, the more they will care. https://t.co/NEzlznViAQ
#HKISCNC Update: Over 48,000 pictures from 31 schools have been taken in the last 4 days!! Observations have now stopped and schools have 5 days to 'tidy up' photos by adding basic IDs and getting rid of selfies, pets and potted plants. @inaturalist#biodiversity @citnatchallenge
#HKISCNC: Last day today & 1592 students from 31 secondary schools have amassed over 28000 observations! We have smashed #HongKong's record in the @citnatchallenge last April by 8000 observations and 700 observers!! @inaturalist#nature#biodiversity#citizenscience Obs: ryanchan
A 'Creeping Ox-Eye' pic that Leung Kwan Ho took for the #HongKong Inter-School #CityNatureChallenge. These flowers are actually #invasive in Hong Kong so observations like this on @inaturalist can show us how much they have spread throughout our urban areas.
#HKISCNC Update - Day 3: HK schools are smashing it!! Cumulatively, 1,205 students and staff from 31 schools have logged 17,850 observations of urban nature around their campuses.....in just 2 days! #hkbiodiversity@inaturalist#nature https://t.co/fvyx1obXge
@youngposthk The first #HongKong Inter-School #CityNatureChallenge is underway! With 31 secondary schools around the territory taking part, a new understanding of urban biodiversity is taking shape! https://t.co/NEzlznViAQ
